I want to make work that makes people uncomfortable, I want them to think why it makes them uncomfortable. My main focus is sexuality, the good and the bad of sex and sharing the most intimate parts of yourself. I have struggled in the past with sexual assault so I use myartasaformoftherapytoreleaseallthosestuckfeelings. Imakeself-portraitsto depicts my personal journey with this topic. I make these pieces to heal a part of myself that still struggles with intimacy and letting people in. I paint, and I use sculpture to depict my subject matter. I put myself in uncomfortable positions to depict the discomfort ive felt in the past.
